North vs. South

Kirk's family (aka "Southern Oborn's" because they all live south of Salt Lake) challenged us "Northern Oborn's (we all live North of Salt Lake) to a little family softball game.  This was the first of its kind, and the trash talking began weeks in advance.

So, on Labor Day, the game commenced.  The "SO's" showed-up with their game faces and "Captain Kirk's Crew" t-shirts on.  Us "NO's" had pictures and nicknames of our opponents on our shirts and we were ready for the challenge!  And so, after a brief warm-up, the game began...

It was a pretty even match (not only in the same number of people and skill level, but the game itself)... until the 7th inning.  And then, the "SO's" used some pretty ruthless tactics (Dane and Tay, you know what you did) that pushed them ahead.  So we'll chalk up this year's victory to the "SO's" (14-9), but redemption is coming next year!  Good game, bump tap.
