It's Monday and we're still swimming in a sea of Easter grass and
Cadbury eggs.
We kicked off the beautiful Easter weekend with the
Farmington City egg "hunt" on Saturday morning. It's not much of a
hunt... but more of a vacuum sweep of a soccer field. It's fun,
regardless, and Tate walked away with some loot. The rest of the day,
we planted flowers, weeded and worked in the yard.
On Easter morning, I created a candy
trail down the stairs. From there, Tate had to look for eggs. He
loved putting them in his bucket. More candy led him to the family room
where some new clothes and a Strider balance bike greeted him! Can't
wait to see him get the hang of balancing on his new big boy bike.
I
subbed a primary class of 6-7 year olds at church. I taught them all
about Christ's crucifixion and resurrection... and the true meaning
behind Easter. It was a great reminder for me as well.
We ate dinner at my parents and enjoyed making "marble critters" to race down Papa's ramp. The kids ate it up!
We stopped by Chase's parents for a candy hunt in the backyard and strawberry shortcake!
Such a beautiful weekend and we loved spending it with family!
