mother's day has taken-on a whole new meaning this year. not only am i a mother now, but i have appreciated our mom's so much more this year. they've served our little family whole-heartedly the last few months and are always willing to help. they've taught me so much and continue to inspire me to be a better mom. they simply are the most selfless, generous and loving women i know. we are so lucky to have them... and tate loves his time with them too.
i treated my parents to dinner at my house. on the menu: teriyaki flank steak, roasted potatoes, tortellini salad, strawberry salad, homemade rolls, and apple dumplings with vanilla ice cream for dessert. it was a lot of work... but oh so delicious.
the kids (and grandkids) filled out a "how well do you know mom" quiz, and we laughed over the answers!
after dinner, we joined chase's family and continued to eat and visit.
both mom's LOVED their homemade cake plates (DIY instructions and pictures coming soon...)
thank you Lur and Shelley. we truly are lucky to have you in our lives!
and Tatum... you have brought the greatest joy into my heart. i am the luckiest girl in the world to be your mommy. i pray we can stay cuddle buddies forever and always laugh at each other's funny faces. thanks for being the best boy a girl could have (that includes you too Chase).
